Cops: Woman Charged In Death Of Brooklyn Baby

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby boy in Brooklyn.

Anna Thomas, 20, has been charged with murder and manslaughter in the death of 19-month-old Justin Stephens, police said.

Officers were called to a home on Ocean Avenue in Flatbush just before 8 p.m. Sunday on a report of a possibly emotionally disturbed female. When they arrived, police said officers found Stephens unconscious and unresponsive.

The baby was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
